Welcome! Please make sure you are registering for the right region. Although AYSO has no restriction on where you may register, our region covers the vicinity of Grayslake and nearby areas.

Q: What is Core?
A: Unlike the competitive program that requires tryouts, Core is our open registration program. Players of all skill levels are welcome to register for this program. They will be placed on a team, play at least 50% of every game, work on player development and have fun!

Q: Do Core teams travel?
A: Yes and no. Players in 6U and 8U will play fully in-house, which means zero travel. All players 10U and above are recreational travel teams and will travel to nearby communities to play against other recreational teams. 

Q: What does my registration include?
A: Current registration covers BOTH 2026 fall and 2027 Spring playing seasons. The uniform is also included in the registration price.

The first step in our registration process is to register all players (and volunteers) through Region 396 Sports Connect site.

Registration fees are listed below. An additional National player fee of $25.00 will be added to each player registration (this fee although paid on this site is collected by the National Office and there are no refunds of this fee). Register early for early bird discounts. Please register as early as possible to avoid being placed on a waitlist.
